Will someone teach me how to surf?

Hi y’all! I’m a reporter for POLITICO covering Congress and transportation policy. If the issue involves driving, riding Metro, flying or hopping on Amtrak, I’m your go-to girl. I can be found running around the Capitol most days, recorder in hand, trying to catch lawmakers for a quick quote.

Follow me on Twitter for daily happenings on Capitol Hill and musings about Alabama football.

Don’t worry, I’m not just about serious congressional business. I love going to Bama football games when I get the chance, painting and hanging out with my two favorite pups!

Other cool stuff I’ve produced:

  •  A Washington Post article about a Bhutanese refugee and his three children adjusting to American life while the family matriarch was forced to stay behind in Nepal.
  • Voting Young: A multimedia group project that peeled back the curtain on what first-time voters were really thinking leading up to the 2012 election (also featured on WaPo.com). I served as managing editor.
  • Multimedia timeline on the history of LGBT rights in the District. (One piece of a three-part project featured on WAMU).
